Entrepreneurship education for children and young adults in Austria (2022)

All the entrepreneurs of the future are in school today. The way they are educated and taught will determine how they participate in society and the economy. Independent thinking and responsible action are the basis for a vibrant society. Entrepreneurship education is the next generation program - comparable to programs in sports (skiing or soccer) - for the future shapers of a sustainable society and economy. In Austria, the National Action Plan for Entrepreneurship Education for Children and Young Adults has been working on goals for entrepreneurship education. In order to promote an entrepreneurial mindset among children and young adults, a series of measures are to be implemented over the next few years to establish a systematic young talent program (see BMDW/ BMBWF 2020).
